On this project component SMECAO has highly centred on lobby and advocacy on basic civil rights including Land security and protection of water sources and governance and accountability. On the other side SMECAO opt for capacity building of the target groups.

• Lobby with local government of same and Mwanga districts to plan for village land registration, water rights protection, extend budget for financial support and formation and enforcement of by laws in 14 villages.
•  Advocate for water sources conservation and demarcation of 8 sources in 6 villages
•  Conduct training on accountability, lobbying, and advocacy to youth. Facilitate training on good governance, accountability, and water management policy to village leaders and ward councillors.
•  Hold mass sensitization meeting at villages and sub-villages level to educate community on civil rights and land rights
